Dr. Lauren Steinhart, Psy.D., C.Psych. (She/Her)

Trauma (PTSD) & OCD Specialist

Dr. Lauren Steinhart, Psy.D., C.Psych., is located in the Barrie and Midland area in Ontario. She provides virtual or online (video and telephone) psychotherapy to adults across Ontario. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Adler University and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

As a clinical psychologist, Lauren works with adults who are experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma-related conditions, anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other mental health challenges.

Lauren’s approach strikes a balance between structure and flexibility. While the core of CBT is the connection between thoughts, feelings and actions, treatment is a collaboration that is built to fit each client’s learning style.  She is focused on clients’ long-term goals while making space for challenges and opportunities that come up along the way.

Lauren is the least competitive person on her rookie golf team. She can bake a decent chocolate cake and enjoys trying new recipes (with varying degrees of success).

In these areas, a Psychologist may work with various client groups. These include children, adolescents, adults, or seniors. They may also focus on families, couples, or organizations. They work in many settings. These include schools, hospitals, industry, and social service agencies. They also work in rehabilitation and correctional facilities.
