Online CBT Therapist Servicing Ontario
Danielle Illman is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario. She has several years of experience providing evidence-based therapy to adults and adolescents. She has supported clients through both community mental health settings and Ontario’s Structured Psychotherapy Program.
Danielle’s approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while also drawing on specialized treatments for anxiety, OCD, and trauma. She has advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These approaches can help clients understand the patterns that keep them stuck, face difficult emotions or situations, and develop new ways of responding to thoughts, memories, and uncertainty.
Danielle understands that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you have been struggling for a long time. She takes a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach with people. She works with each person to understand their unique experiences and goals. While she provides practical tools and guidance, she also believes therapy should feel like a space where you can be honest, ask questions, and feel accepted without judgment.
Danielle believes that meaningful change does not mean getting rid of every difficult thought or feeling. Instead, therapy can help you build the skills and confidence to respond differently when life becomes difficult. Her goal is to help clients feel more empowered, develop resilience, and move toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
